I thought that I'd end up eating Thanksgiving dinner myself this year. Was I ever wrong! My parents spent a few hours with me in the morning, before my PT session, and then I was by myself after the PT. At around 6PM, my boyfriend shows up with a huge basket of food, which he had somehow managed to get into the hospital. It turned out that his parents were having Thanksgiving dinner with his grandfather, who's in a nursing home, but he couldn't come because he wasn't on his grandfather's 3-visitor list. So he decided to have dinner with me. He helped me feed myself, told me funny stories, and generally made me feel loved in a major way. I said this in my previous journal, but I am so thankful that he's been so supportive. Now I'm even more thankful. He turned what could have been a very lonely experience into a happy one.
